Out of print?

Is the book you want out-of-print? Abebooks is the leading internet marketplace worldwide for second-hand and antiquarian books. Here you will find more than 40 million titles offered by over 10,000 book dealers around the UK and worldwide, from paperbacks to rare, second-hand, out-of-print, antiquarian books or first editions.

Through our partnership with them, you can search for out-of-print books at abebooks using the form below.

Please fill in one or more fields in the search form and then click on 'Go'. If you don't know all of the required search words insert (*) into the empty field. After clicking on 'Go', you will be transferred to the abebooks site, and your results will be displayed on the screen. If you have too many search results you can refine them using the 'price' and 'keywords' criteria. 'Keywords' can also be used to find specialised items on the site eg: limited editions, signed books, dedication copies etc.

How do you buy books?

When you have found the book you want, order it by clicking on the shopping basket icon. Once you have placed the desired books in your shopping basket, press 'order'. You will then be given a final opportunity to change your mind. If you are happy with your purchases, select 'buy'. You will then be informed that your order has been received and that the dealer in question will shortly be in touch.
