Redwald, King of the East Anglesd. circa 627
Little is known of him. Ethelbert of Kent persuaded him to be baptised.
He is chiefly notable for having defeated and slain Ethelfrid, King of Northumbria
in 616 at a battle on the Idle River, and thereby restored to his throne Edwin
(616-32), son of Ella of Deira.
